Be the change you want to see in the world.–Gandhi
Change is coming my way whether I like it or not. Come December 15, my graduation day, I am homeless and jobless–and I couldn’t be more excited. My perspective on life is evolving, and I am curious to see where it takes me. I’ll keep you updated as the story unfolds. Here is some insight to my present perspective:
I am…
a college student
Four years ago I stepped onto the Kent State campus wanting to make a fresh start from my conservative, German Catholic, west-side-of-Cincinnati upbringing. I wanted more outta life.
a writer
I found my niche in PR. I’ve grown a true passion for writing, starting with my experience as the College of Arts and Sciences beat reporter for the Daily Kent Stater. My writing has developed at my internships: Flash Communications, a student-run PR agency with Kent State University Communications and Marketing, and Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer.
connected
I am actively involved in PRSSAKent and the Delta Zeta Sorority. For me, the college experience is all about the people I meet and the genuine connections I make.
an advocate
I picked up a hammer for the first time during spring break 2006 to help rebuild
homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina with Kent State United for the Gulf Coast (KSUGC).
I signed up for the trip on a whim. I’ve now made multiple trips to the devastated area with KSUGC–and my roofing skills have gotten quite good. To read more about my experiences in the Gulf Coast, check out my blog.
a blogger
PRpulse came from an idea sparked by the ever-changing role of communication in our daily lives. I’ve been eying the blogosphere since early 2006, but I’ve been hesitant to join the conversation–’til now. Granted this is a required school project, but I’m up for the challenge.
I hope PRpulse intrigues and motivates you to speak up in the conversation and be heard. I look forward to reading what you have to say.

Cool blog Megan – I’m subscribed. Look forward to reading your stuff.
Megan,
This profile presents a person I want to hire — if only I could. Paull, what about you? Converseon needs talent like this!
Megan-
I just love your blog! It’s so captivating and well written! I can’t wait see more!
Bill- It’s kinda funny, but back in your case studies class I questioned whether I belonged in PR. I’ve come a long way from those days in Taylor Hall.
I now know that this is what I am meant to do!
Thanks again for your support.
Hey Megan!
Looks like you’re connected…good work!
Saw my link in today…great blog! Except, you might want to watch for characters like P.Young, here.
Thanks, Kait! I’ll keep that in mind.
